Came back from one week being away for Christmas in LA. From what I understand, Vegas night time temperature went down to 25F, and for two days the winds were hawling up to 60 miles an hour. Even in LA we had very strong winds. I had a security camera installed indoors at the window, pointing at my back porch, and specifically my space age grow tent. I was afraid that it would get blown away, so before I left. I had tied the whole thing down, with a strap attached to the pillar of the porch. Well I checked the camera when I was gone, everything was OK except at the opening where I access the GT, the velcrose came off and it was flapping around. I came back last night, too tied to check on anything. This morning, opened the tent, the temperature inside the tent was registering at 50F. I had a bowl of water next to the GT drawer on the floor, it was frozen on top for one inch. The crockpot was working as it should, still had one fourth of the water inside after 7 days. I had fillled it up to one inch from the top before I left, and it was keeping the tent warm. Spinach, kale, mustard green, bokchoy and cabbage head were as green as can be, and in fact, the cabbage grew larger and fuller. Out of the 4 self watering bottles installed on top, three of them worked, except for one; so the plants were not dry at all. So I could say everything was a success. 🙂
