Harvest

Final Summer Harvest from Straw Bales

Well, finally clean-up my straw bales and these are the final harvests from the vines.  All in all, the straw bale experiment was kind of successful.  Cucumbers, watermelons, zucchini, spegetti squash all did well, though not fantastic, but considering this is our first time doing this, it is actually not bad.  And the important thing is, my friend and I had fun.  As to the Garden Tower, kale, eggplant and swiss chard are still going.  I decided not to plant an autumn crop since we will be traveling in October and November, and by the time I come back, it would be too cold.  So here’s a wrap for the season.
