Today, decorated my GT2 with a nice poinsettia up top, and planted some decorative kale and cabbage in the empty pocket. They look quite nice! A few of my lettuce bolted and turned to seed, so I just kept it there. As for the ornamental kale and cabbages, I found out that you can eat them. In fact I went to a Japanese buffet place here a few times, and they always serve a kale salad made with the leaves of the ornamental kale and they are quite delicious. I figure with the weather turning cold and these kale and cabbages can withstand quite chilly temperature. I am planting them for making that Japanese salad for the winter. I just pick the lower leaves from the plants and they will end up with long stems eventually. #ornamental kale #Japanese salad
